Parking at the Finglas Driving Test Centre

December 4th, 2017

Parking at the Finglas Driving Test Centre guidelines change from time to time. Sometimes it is allowed so long as you keep out of the way of tests. Some times the below message comes out. Allied Driving Instructors often meets people on the road outside the test centre, about 70M up away from Finglas village, before the lights. This location is not against the the RSA parking at the Finglas driving test centre requests.

RSA Press Release.

The RSA car park  at the rear of the Finglas Driving Test centre is provided for the sole purpose of people attending for a driving test. The large volumes of tests conducted at this location mean there is constant pressure on parking with genuine candidates having difficulties both before and after their test.

The use of this car park by schools or driving instructors for purposes other than attending for test i.e. parking of school cars whilst going out on lessons in a pupil’s car, meeting and greeting of pupils, pre-test and driving lessons is not allowed, no exceptions.

We would wish to avoid the introduction of more radical parking controls if possible such as clamping and feel this can be achieved with goodwill from all concerned.

Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Yours Sincerely

Driver Education Section
