New Fuel Comparison Website

I recently discovered a new fuel comparison website, Fuel Compare. As someone who spends a lot of money on diesel and petrol, it’s great to see these sites. They are a great way of finding the best value fuel in your area or along your route. As a result you can make great savings over the course of a year.

The concept is simple. Users update the fuel prices of stations that they stop at or have passed by. Then anyone who visits the site can see the recent fuel price and decide if that is the best station for them to go to. It is dependent on users making regular updates. So the more people that join up and share the information, the better.

Fuel Compare is better than the maps for specific fuel companies because the provide details on all of the stations. Not just a single chain or brand. You can filter the results to show the cheapest station in your area or county. Alternatively you can list the sites by the most recent update. This may be the more reliable price, because unless people update the site regularly the prices can become inaccurate.

As well as the fuel comparison map, there is also a blog on the site which is worth a look if you are interested in a good driving blog. Personally, I’d love see more features on a site like this. I spend a lot of time out and about in my car. As a result I would like to know which petrol stations have toilets. After that I would like to know where has a good deli or sandwich bar. These are not on the site at the moment. It is a great site, with very useful information. But fingers crossed for the future. I would encourage everyone to sign up and update regularly.
