How is the driving test scored?

How is the driving test scored? What way is the driving test marked? Why do people fail the driving test?
During the driving test the RSA tester will have an electronic tablet for noting any mistakes that may occur. For most errors you could make there will be three grades; 1. minor, 2. serious and 3. dangerous / disqualifying. Basically the worse the mistake the worse the grade it gets. For example if you are just a little out of position you may get a minor mark. If you position is badly off it could mean a serious mark and if you are way off or starting to get too near to someone else then it means a disqualifying mark.
The minor marks will not really cause you to fail. But if a tester finds themselves giving a lot of minor marks early on they may consciously or subconsciously build a poor opinion of your driving ability and start giving more grade twos.
If you get four grade two marks for the same issue this will cause you to fail. If you get six marks in a broad category eg position or observation this will cause you to fail or if you get nine grade twos over the full test then this also too many.
Any single grade three will cause you to fail. But remember you are allowed make mistakes. It’s not the end of the test if something goes wrong. So keep driving as best as you can.
In the end, hopefully it does not matter how the driving test is scored. Hopefully you pass with only a few marks.
