Can I learn to drive in a week, ten days, two weeks or a month?
Short answer: Yes, you can I learn to drive in a week, ten days, two weeks or a month.
Long answer: Is it easy to learn to drive in a week, ten days, two weeks or a month? No!
Ok, so if you already know how to drive, doing your EDT may just be a formality. The same can be said for reduced EDT. However, if you are starting from scratch it is going to be a lot harder. But not impossible.
The EDT syllabus is based on doing three hours of practice before each official lesson. So, if you have access to a car that you are insured on and plenty of time, you could do lots of practice and lessons every day. However, not everyone has access to a car.
If you are learning from scratch with no access to a car for practice it is going to be tough. If you are exceptionally talented you could pass the driving test after just 12 to 18 hours of driving lessons. Alternatively, if you are reasonably talented you could do it in 18 to 24 hours. However, if you are an average person you could pass the driving test with 24 to 36 hours.
Ultimately, if you need to get driving in a short period then an intensive driving course may be the solution.
