Thurles Driving School has been offering driving lessons in the Thurles, Templemore and surrounding areas for almost 30 years. Ray is a second generation driving instructor,with over 25 years experience. He is approved by Road Safety Authority (RSA) as an ADI. Ray is also a member of the Irish + British Institute of advanced motorist’s. He has won the VOLVO DRIVER OF THE YEAR competition in Munster and was placed second in the national finals as seen on RTE2.
Our instructors are trained to the highest standards which can also be see in our driving test results which are some of the highest in the country. So if your thinking of learning to drive in Co. Thurles Driving School has an extensive range of courses, which includes:
– Starter Course
This course is aimed at those who have not driven before. The course encompasses everything you need to get you driving on the road, from learning how to use all of the controls to road positioning and awareness. These sessions can be done in either one or two hour slots.
– Intermediate Course
This course has been developed for those who can drive, but need more experience to refine their driving technique.
– Pre-Test
This is a mock driving test performed by our instructor to highlight areas that you need to improve on before the real test. This is a great opportunity to highlight errors or bad habits that you may have accumulated, and guidance will be given on how to rectify this. It is also an opportunity to experience the test situation, which will put you at ease and improve your confidence.
